If you live on the east coast and you spend time behind the lens of a camera – you learn to work with high cloud cover and make it work for you. Westchester NY is no different particularly if you are photographing something on the Hudson River. This time I used HDR-lite and allowed myself a bit of poetic license with the color. The clouds were a deep color, but perhaps a tad less vivid in real life. This was the case last weekend when I was taking photos on the Hudson River.
The water was dead calm in spite of the storm clouds above. I admit that I find the persistent presence of the se crazy cloud formations disturbing. I saw this type of cloud cover only rarely as a child. Climate change anyone. They may be beautiful, but they are unsettling.
