my dogs have an entirely different take on this weather than the rest of us. Although this season has been rough on people, its kind of amazing to see Siberian Huskies in what is as close to their natural habitat as we are going to get unless I move next door to some Emperor Penguins. They truly love and really built for the snow!

Grace Phillips – a Mamaroneck High School student named as a finalist in Intel’s 2011 Science Talent Search

As a former scientist I wanted to give a shout out to the fact that Grace Phillips of Mamaroneck High School was named a finalist in the highly competitive Intel 2011 Science Talent Search. Also of interest is the fact that 19 of the 300 semi finalists (or roughly 6%) were from Westchester NY schools.
