When home buyers engage an agent they often expect us to be the repository of any and all neighborhood information. They often don’t see the need to do their own research because they can just pick the brains of their buyers agent.
It was once said that there are two main emotions that drive any market - fear and greed. This market is definite staked towards buyers and as a result - some are overestimating their power by pushing the greed card way too far.
Right now I've got a couple of clients who appear to be wandering aimlessly through Westchester county in search of the "perfect home." In the past I had a great deal of patience and would take a qualified buyer almost anywhere they wanted.
The "market" has its own siren song...it's own mind and it calls out to both buyers and sellers alike. It can not be escaped by either and generally speaking - it pleases no one completely. I suppose you can think of the "market" as some sort of collective - for Star Trek fans - this is something akin to the Borg..."Resistance if futile...."
Outdoor space planning utilizes many of the same principles as interiors, but there are a few unique elements that need to be considered. Ceiling-less spaces with low or non-existent walls can really throw your spatial perception off, so above all, resist the temptation to “wing it”.
