Photography

Photography is a hobby of mine. I think photos can tell one a great deal about an area. Some of these shots are a bit artistic, but others are designed to show off the character of some of Westchester’s great cities, villages and towns. Have fun with this and see the beauty of the Hudson River Valley.

Upper West Side NYC

Westchester is not the moon – Commuting to Manhattan is a breeze….

Lower Westchester is not at all far from NYC. I love Manhattan, but face it - it is wicked expensive....for the price of a 750 sf coop you can buy 1200 sf condo in White Plains and still be in midtown within about 30 minutes.

Tarrytown NY - Main St

It had been cloudy all day, but now these huge dark clouds rolled in at remarkable speed creating an eerie purplish dark-blue color that was almost night like. It LOOKED like tornados were on their way. Soooooo I was able to capture the scene with my camera because luck favors the prepared.

Irvington NY Library

The Irvington Library – Musings on the importance of public libraries in our lives and community….

There are those who mock the importance of the public sector. Often when they do, they take direct aim at institutions of knowledge such as our public libraries. Personally, I don’t want to live in a world when a place where much of our collective knowledge is curated, cataloged and disseminated is considered unimportant.
